What’s not to love about Ashley and Sean? I had the pleasure of working with this couple pretty much from engagement to post-reception. From their first phone call I knew I really wanted to work with them! They asked intelligent questions, seemed equally invested in making their day uniquely personal and were very easy-going. Then I got to know them and I figured out how much fun they are together. Sean loves to tease, and has maybe a touch of the smarty-pants. And Ashley gives as good as she gets! But it was always with lots of fun and love.
They chose to work with Lelia Marie Photography and she captured their wedding at Lost Creek Winery beautifully! Sean and Ashley’s wedding is the reason that photographers send a “favorites” file. It was so hard to choose which photos to share.
Ashley’s dress is one of my all-time favorites. I had my eye on this dress for a good year and I am so very happy that one of my favorite brides wore it. What’s more, Ashley took the time to alter the dress so it really fit her and her personality to a “T”. Much of the “foof” underneath was taken out, making the dress more naturally sweeping and less stiff. Wait till you see it on her!
Sean and Ashley’s wedding was absolutely wonderful. Yet being November, it was a bit chillier than an August or September wedding. I LOVE Ashley’s solution to the chills! Her hair and makeup were perfect for the dress and again for her personality. Sweet and beautiful!
Sean wasn’t looking too shabby either! I think everyone should have a personalized tie! His charcoal suit fit the mood of the wedding and also the greys and silvers used in the wedding reception.
Sean and Ashley decided on a 1st Look for a couple of reasons. One was capturing the light in the later afternoon at it’s best. The other was to share that personal moment between just the two of them. Weddings happen fast, and a 1st Look can provide the happy couple a private moment in the midst of the wedding hustle and bustle.
Remember what I said about Sean? Smarty-pants? Case in point.
We build the day’s timeline wisely and it gave us extra time to take photos of both sets of parents before the wedding. Adorable!
Texture was the name of the floral game. Love the burnia balls in the boutonnieres and the bouquet and the ranunculus and anemone flowers in the bouquet.
The centerpiece of the dessert table was a small two-tier buttercream cake flanked on all sides by tarts, mini and regular cupcakes in an array of harvest flavors.
The table decor was soft and sweet. The table number stands were made out of wine corks. Very appropriate for the wedding at Lost Creek Winery!
I am fascinated by this arch interwoven with baby’s breath and seeded eucalyptus.
It was a chilly evening, but the guests still ventured out to roast s’mores by the fire.
To the happy couple! May you have a long, healthy and happy life together!
